The three common misunderstandings of civil building fire protection zoning, many people are wrong!

Misunderstanding 1: When there is an automatic fire extinguishing system, the maximum allowable building area of the fire protection zone of the equipment room?

Misunderstanding 2: When the automatic fire extinguishing system is set locally, what is the maximum allowable building area of the fire protection zone?

Assuming that Sa+Sb is the maximum allowable building area of a fire protection zone, when the area with an automatic fire extinguishing system is 2Sa, the area of this fire protection zone can be increased by Sa (㎡), that is, S=2Sa+Sb, and the newly added Sa should also be equipped with an automatic fire extinguishing system.

Misunderstanding 3: The maximum allowable area of the fire protection zone of the shop business hall and the exhibition hall can be 10,000 square meters under what circumstances?

In the shop business hall and exhibition hall of the first and second fire-resistant grade buildings, when automatic fire extinguishing system and automatic Fire Alarm system are set up and non-combustible or non-combustible decoration materials are used, the maximum allowable building area of each fire protection zone shall comply with the following provisions:

1 Set in a high-rise building, should not be greater than 4000 square meters;

2 Set in a single-storey building or only set in the first floor of a multi-storey building, should not be greater than 10000 square meters;

3 Set in the underground or semi-underground, should not be greater than 2000㎡.

When the multi-storey store business hall is equipped with automatic fire extinguishing system and automatic fire alarm system and uses non-combustible or non-combustible decoration materials, the maximum allowable construction area of each fire protection zone shall be calculated in accordance with Table 5.3.1 of the Construction Regulations. Only when the shop business hall, exhibition hall is set in a single-storey building or only set in the first floor of a multi-storey building, the maximum allowable construction area of each fire zone can be 10,000 square meters.
